Description
PETG filament offers versatility and durability, perfect for precise 3D prints. Discover high-quality PETG filaments for your printing needs.
Our PETG Poly (ethylene terephthalateco-1,4- cylclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate) filament is a top choice for 3D printing enthusiasts looking for durability and ease of use. PETG is known for its high strength and flexibility, making it ideal for functional prints. With a printing temperature range of 230-250°C and a bed temperature of 80-100°C, PETG provides excellent adhesion and minimal warping.
Our PETG filament is available in a variety of colors and sizes to suit your needs. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced maker, our PETG material delivers exceptional results. Explore our 3D PETG collection today and more about PETG to take your 3D printing projects to the next level.
Avoid Using PETG for Support Structures PETG is extremely strong, making it difficult to remove if used for support structures. If you need support for your PETG print, consider using a multi-extruder setup to print supports with HIPS, which will save you much frustration.
Turn on Your Cooling Fan Mid-Print PETG has excellent layer adhesion, so using a cooling fan can help your print harden faster. However, since PETG prints at a relatively high temperature, there’s a risk of warping. For best results, print without cooling for the first two or three layers to avoid warping, then turn on the cooling fan for the remaining layers.
Print Slowly or Enable Retraction to Avoid Stringing PETG is prone to stringing because it remains soft at high temperatures. Stringing happens when molten filament oozes out of the nozzle, leaving thin ‘strings’ on the print. To prevent this, print at a low speed (as low as 15 mm/s) and gradually increase it. Alternatively, enable retraction in your extruder to relieve pressure on the molten filament and reduce stringing.
Pros:
- High impact strength
- Heat-stable
- Can withstand steam sterilization.
- Good chemical resistance
Cons:
- Difficult to work with
- Poor choice for support material
- Quickly degrades under UV light.
